Sex Position Basics
A sex position is
any position which people may adopt during or
for the purpose of sexual intercourse or other
sexual acts, so while the possibility exists for
an almost unlimited number of variations of sex
positions, when you consider all of the possible
positions our bodies are in when we have sex,
the man is penetrating the woman in one of three
positions, our bodies are in one of three
positions, and we are in one variation or
another of one of six basic positions which we
will examine below:
Penetration and Body Position:
Regardless
of how we twist, turn, tweak or contort our
bodies during sex, the man is penetrating the
woman either vaginally or anally from one of
three positions:
(number colors correspond to the
information for the images at the bottom of the
page)
1.
Front Entry (missionary - standing or laying
side by side front to front)
2. Rear
Entry (doggie style - standing or laying
side by side front to back)
3. Side Entry (standing or
laying)
Additionally,
the woman's body is either:
1.
Below the man's body (male superior)
2. On top of the man's body
(female superior) 3.
Next to the man's body (standing or laying
side by side)
Of course, the
three entry positions can be mixed with any of
the three body positions to create a wide
variety of positions we can have sex in, but
regardless of how exotic the position, it's
still a variation on one of the six basic sex
positions listed below.
The 6 Basic Sex
Positions:
Sex
positions are relatively standardized in
position and terms:
1. Man on
Top (Male Superior / Missionary)
2. Woman
on Top (Female Superior / Cowgirl and
Reverse Cowgirl)
3. Side
By Side (Spooning or Clasping)
4. Rear
Entry (Doggie Style or Doggy Style)
5. Side
Entry
6.
Standing
These are all
very commonly practiced and talked about
positions, primarily because they are six of the
easiest positions to accomplish with maximum
pleasure, and they provide the basis for the six
basic positions our bodies are in for other sex
positions. |
